The location where we draw ZEN.R.WATER is at the base of Mt. Daisen – the home of famous mineral water. It has been protected as a mountain where a great god resides since the Jomon period (c. 14,000 to 1,000 BCE). One of the largest beech forests in western Japan extends out here. The natural water refined and nurtured by the great nature is stored in ample supply deep underground. Mt. Daisen is a sacred mountain. It is a land rich in nature protected by the gods. At the foot of the mountain, water is drawn from near the venerable Oogamiyama Shrine where sangaku shinko (mountain worship) has remained strong since ancient times.
You will find Amenomanai Well and Hongunoizumi Spring are located in the vicinity of the water drawing location. The famous spring water is also found in great abundance here. It has become a world-famous spring also selected as being one of the top 100 famous mineral waters by the Ministry of the Environment.
